As the Centre Administrator your main duties will include:

  • Acting as a customer facing point of contact for the service, offering a warm welcome and providing a professional response to enquiries;
  • Liaising with a wide range of visitors to the Centre, external providers and the relevant services;
  • Developing and maintaining the relevant office systems and processes in line with our university's procedures including monitoring and recording budgetary and service usage/evaluation data;
  • Providing high quality administrative support for the organisation and delivery of events and projects run by the Centre;
  • Organising a range of communication and marketing activity to promote the Centre's provision in conjunction with our University's Communications team;
  • Preparing and producing a range of service documentation and resources, including online environments (eg web, VLE);
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues from across a range of services including Finance, Communications, Health and Safety, Facilities and IT to support the day to day running of the Centre;
  • Proactively resolving problems and issues that may arise and maintain a high quality customer service at all times;
  • Actively contribute to the effective operation of the LOGIK Centre team;
  • Contribute to the delivery of shared goals as part of the wider OD&PL team, supporting the delivery of projects and initiatives and working flexibly to accommodate requests for support as required.

Person specification

As an Administrator you will have:

  • Experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment providing a high quality service to a diverse range of customers;
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrable experience of organising meetings, diaries and events that require complex arrangements;
  • Proven ability to prioritise work and deliver against multiple deadlines with excellent attention to detail;
  • The ability to work proactively to solve a range of problems both independently and as part of a wider team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build credibility and trust with a wide range of people;
  • An excellent level of IT skills with the ability to use standard office packages, databases and edit/maintain websites;
  • Experience of working with HR and Finance systems to deal with purchasing and budgetary processes.

You may also have:

  • Experience of working in a Higher Education environment;
  • Experience of supporting committees including producing minutes for circulation.
