Manpower are currently recruiting for a Logistics Planner for their client based in Hoveringham, Nottinghamshire. This is a full time role working 9:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of a diverse and trusted range of concrete and clay building products used extensively within the construction centre. They are looking for a keen and proactive individual to join their team in Hoveringham. The main purpose of the role is to plan, manage and coordinate the outbound delivery requirements for the Hoveringham and Somercotes sites for the manufactured precast concrete components.

Duties:

  • Ensuring that the distribution requirements are met for the Hoveringham and Somercotes business units with entirely appropriate vehicles. This will also include ensuring that appropriate trailers are in the correct locations, thus avoiding loading downtime.
  • Ensuring that service issues are dealt with appropriately, and service providers are re-charged for issues that result in costs being levied against the business.
  • To ensure that all suppliers are aware and fully comply with our requirements in all aspects of Health and Safety at the works and on construction sites.
  • To ensure that the most cost-effective traffic planning is carried through without disruption to other key stakeholders i.e. installation operatives, production and yard teams.
  • To ensure that all trips are reviewed and costed prior to issue of the Self Bill

    • About You:

  • You will have previous planning/organisational experience
  • You will be able to work well under pressure
  • You will be able to cope with change and adapt to difficult situations
  • You be able to use your own initiative and ask for help when needed
  • You will have excellent communication skills
  • GCSE's in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Geographical knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
