An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT Company, is currently seeking a Deskside Support Engineer III based on their customer site in Rothschild (London). This is a Full-time, temporary role starting ASAP for 6 months, Monday to Friday, 9 - 17:30. The role is paying £20.41 per hour (Ltd Contractor/Umbrella)

Role Overview:

A Resident On Site Support engineer with desktop support and roll out experience is required to deliver the following activities:

  • IMAC's - Installations, Moves, Additions and Changes
  • Break-Fix of all in-scope managed devices
  • Hands and Eyes Support to visually verify the state of managed devices
  • Desktop Support including special project activities
  • To manage the lifecycle of loan user equipment

Duties:

  • Software and system fault diagnosis, analysis and fix.
  • Take responsibility for stock used and follow the correct procedures regarding stock management.
  • Case management of Incidents and IMAC's in line with SLA's
  • Acknowledge and respond to emails from Team Leads and Manager
  • Liaising with other teams or vendors to resolution
  • Risk awareness of technology and business impact.
  • Assisting with projects as they arise
  • Proactively keeps customer updated with problem status at all times.
  • Identifying and reporting risk as appropriate in accordance with the guidelines
  • Manage Loan Pool laptops
  • Comply with Asset Management policies

Essential Skills Level/ Requirements for role:

  • PC/Desktop Support knowledge including Microsoft Windows XP/7/10 and office applications
  • Administering Windows Share\File permissions.
  • Mobile connectivity (E.g. secure ID/MAS/
  • Knowledge of SCCM
  • Good knowledge of H P and Dell Workstation, Desktops & Laptops
  • Honest and dependable.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Accepts and handles responsibility.
  • Cooperates with supervisors.
  • Speaks and listens effectively and willing to learn new skills.
  • Works with minimum supervision.
  • Solves personal and professional problems.
  • Excellent Communication and People skills.
  • Friendly phone manner.
  • Must be well organised and manage stress well
  • Must be able to deal productively with a high workload.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
  • A flexible approach and work alongside the various operational teams.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE/MCSA/MCP's).
  • ITIL certified
  • Accredited in relevant manufacturers hardware qualification
  • Prince2 experience
