Diesel Fitter

Manpower is recruiting for a Diesel Fitter on behalf of our client Translink to be based at their depot workshop in West Belfast.

This is a long term temporary role based at their depot workshop in West Belfast. The role will be 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will need to be Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Repair, preferably with experience as a HGV Mechanic or in a Diesel Fitter role working on commercial vehicles.

The Role

Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs across a fleet of Buses including vehicle inspections, diagnosis, fault finding and routine vehicle servicing.

Prepare vehicles for MOT/PSV inspection

Complete administrative duties and service logging when required

Maintain a clean workshop and follow health and safety guidelines

What we are looking for:

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair
• Experience as a Diesel Fitter or HGV Mechanic working in a vehicle repair workshop with knowledge of vehicle systems e.g. diesel engines, air brakes, fuel systems
• Preferably experience working on HGV/Commercial Vehicle or Buses
