Lead Generator Engineer

Our growing Generator business is looking for an experienced Lead Generator Engineer to join our Bristol team. The Engineer will deliver on-site engineering services to UK clients and support operational business activities where required. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Engineer with a commercial and operational focus to join an agile team at an exciting time of growth.

Reporting into the South West Regional Manager the Lead Generator Engineer will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems and associated equipment. Our support is carried out at clients premises or sites.

The Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out PPM, diagnostic, testing and remedial works on generators, switchgear and associated equipment
  • Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system
  • Carrying out client site visits and generating accurate and timely reports
  • Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works
  • Assisting customers with design and new installation solutions
  • Team technical development, training and mentoring
  • Supporting operational tasks i.e. reporting, quotations, progress reports, customer enquiries etc
  • Involvement in business development tasks i.e.: tender submissions, client meetings etc

    • The Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in Generator Engineering
  • Qualified electrical engineer i.e.: City and Guilds Tech Part 2, BTEC, ONC, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
  • Qualified to 17th Edition Electrical Regulations
  • Switchgear experience would be highly desirable
  • Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail
  • A good network within the Generator field would be advantageous
