Our client who design and build bespoke subsea equipment are looking to recruit a Mechanical Construction Engineer for a 6 month project.

As a Mechanical Construction Engineer reporting to the Lead Construction Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out the Mechanical Construction phases of Projects.

Your Duties will include

Assisting in the development of initial schedules

Assisting with contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that equipment is delivered on schedule and to required quality

Reviewing drawings and agree hours required for workshop assembly

Create and prepare Mechanical job packs.

Develop and plan Mechanical Construction procedures

Assist in the development of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Procedures and Plans for construction including contractor compliance.

To be considered for this role you will:

Have served and apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering

Have extensive experience of working within a heavy engineering environment.

Have experience of mechanical assembly and delivering to schedule

Have a sound knowledge of creating mechanical job packs/work packs and works orders.

Be IT Literate with Microsoft Office experience

Be a Microsoft Project user (basic level)

This role will involve working nationally and internationally and could include working offshore.
