Salary: £8.17 per hour

Job Type: Temporary (temp to perm)

Working Hours: 08:00 - 17:00

Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Luton for a Warehouse Operative on a temp to perm basis.

You will be working within a friendly team environment where there is an opportunity to develop as the business grows. Our client is looking for committed individuals with the view of becoming permanent with the company.

Your role will involve:

• Dispatching of products either by courier or pallets distributed in the UK & abroad
• Picking & packing goods from dispatch notes
• Weigh out products using weighing/counting scales to ensure accurate quantities are despatched
• Locating of products that cannot be located on a dispatch note
• Ensuring product rotation is adhered
• Working in a safe & responsible manner when handling weights of boxes
• Undertake Folk Lift courses
• Advising supervisor of any shortages concerning consumable products
• Arranging recycling and general waste disposal as and when required
• Ensuring timescales are reached with priority dispatches
• Print of dispatch notes and ensure orders are dispatched in the correct order
• Stock cleansing of products that haven't moved for periods of time
• Bringing delivered goods in to the warehouse safely and efficiently
• Unpacking received goods, checking and locating to stock
• Ensure warehouse is always kept clean and tidy
• Any ad-hoc duties given by the Warehouse Supervisor

The ideal candidate:

• Will have previous warehouse experience
• Will be a quick learner
• Will have a forklift licence (reach truck) - would be an advantage
• Hard working
• Keen to learn

Experience and qualifications:

• Able to pick up part number detail easily
• GCSE's Grades C and above
