Emergency Dispatch Assistant

We are looking for several applicants to work with us as dispatch assistants for the ambulance service. We will be looking to fill these roles by 1st October 2018, these roles are temporary on - going, so permanent placement at the end of them.
Good all round level of education including 4 GCSEs grades A-C or equivalent demonstrable ability
Typing speed at least equivalent to 40 words per minute
NVQ2/3 in Customer Care, Contact Centre Operations or Call Handling Operations OR must be willing to undertake such qualifications supported by the trust.
Ability to listen to and record information accurately and is able to recognise the relevance of information, especially in emergency situations, prioritising information appropriately
Good written and verbal communication skills, (including the ability to speak clearly over the radio and telephone)
Ability to follow established procedures
Ability to follow instructions exactly
Ability to work to deadlines and timescales
Displays a diplomatic and objective approach towards the needs of others
Accurate data input skills
Good knowledge of the geography of Hampshire
Good organisational skills
Calm manner, especially when under pressure
Works on own initiative when circumstances dictate such action
Good team player
Displays a flexible and pro-active approach to work
