An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Client a world leading Utilities Organisation. We are currently seeking a Head of Marketing based in Coventry. This is a full-time, maternity cover, temporary role for a period of 12 months working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, to start ASAP. The role is paying between £700-800 per day LTD, pro rata, depending on experience.

To provide strategic leadership in defining a robust, scalable end-to-end channels architecture with effective communications and stakeholder engagement and content production processes, supported by performance measures and reporting in line with business strategy and outcomes.

To provide strategic lead for the procurement process and commercial management of Brand Management partner, defining requirements, recruiting partner and managing contract to support the development, implementation and governance of the business brand strategy, including vision/values, core brand narrative, visual branding, citizenship and responsibility strategy, corporate brand marketing and sponsorships, and employee brand awareness programmes.

  • Drive and Manage the Strategic comms and marketing team.
  • Strategic communication is a key component of the role.
  • Experienced in providing executive guidance to the business
  • Accustomed to heading up functions and be at that forefront of this and rive the business forward.
  • Management of marketing and comms team with proven team development and management skills
  • Lead the business through a number of critical changes, including change communications and managing the process.
  • Keep the company safe by co-operating with others to ensure a co-ordinated approach to promote a clear understanding of each party's duties, roles and responsibilities for Safety and Wellbeing
  • Proven experience of building strong working relationships at senior levels within a large organisation within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Able to lead and manage change, transformation and engagement, working with and through others to influence and support new ways of working.
  • High level of understanding of the utilities sector, and relevant internal/external influences (governmental, regulatory, NGOs, communities, employee relations, media, agencies, industry bodies).
  • Able to manage and prioritise complex, competing communication issues - maintaining high standards and alignment with business strategy at pace and with minimal guidance.

Educated to degree level with demonstrable professional development.

  • High levels of networking, influencing and negotiation with a range of national bodies, agencies and companies externally, and at the highest levels internally
  • Strategic thinker with ability to contribute to key decisions and advise others by interpreting internal and external influences and changes.
  • Authoritative and emotionally intelligent, able to challenge and influence at senior levels across a large, complex organisation though matrix working.
