Our client, one of the UK's leading energy suppliers based in Barnwood, Gloucester is looking to recruit a part time Administrative assistant within their Nuclear Fuel Supply and Strategy team. The hours required for this role is 20 hour per week with flexibility on days and hours.

Nature of the role -


  • Provide administrative support to help team deliver strategy for fuel and component supply to our client's power stations e.g. organising meetings and related activities
  • Use Microsoft Office applications and company designated software applications to complete tasks
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems used by the team
  • Locate and retrieve appropriate documents on company systems
  • Verify and process fuel and component related invoices
  • Maintain good interface with our clients power stations and external suppliers
  • Undertake project support activities e.g. maintain spreadsheets, databases etc

  • Skills, Qualifications, Experience


  • Role holder will normally be qualified as a minimum to GCSE/National Qualification standard level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in clerical, secretarial and/or administrative related role.

  • Knowledge and skills - general:


  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Microsoft Project
  • Numeracy skills and spreadsheet maintenance
  • Organisational skills
  • Communication and team working skills

  • Knowledge and skills - specific:


  • Maintains high level of confidentiality
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders in order to make satisfactory arrangements under minimal supervision
  • Has basic knowledge of company business and station operations affecting own business unit area
  • Works on own initiative and uses effective time management
  • Strong organisational skills, e.g. able to prioritise tasks according to importance
  • Analysis of information within own area of expertise and assimilation of information to present concise summary
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capability to deal with multiple tasks/projects
