An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant based at their prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25-hour week. This role is paying between £31,600 and £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Background

  • The Finance Excellence Team is a core pillar within the Finance Operating Model and UK and Ireland Multi Country Organisation. The team directly Business Partners Marketing and Customer Development teams and the Category leadership team, leading the performance management agenda.
  • Partnering value and unlocking operational efficiencies are core principles of the Finance excellence team.
  • Finance excellence team drive information, process, and analytics excellence for the business, leading all cross-category / cross-customer / performance analysis & review.
  • FET support anchored Category & Customer Finance Business Partners on specific category and customer performance analysis & review.
  • Flexible working arrangements are possible / would be considered for suitable candidates for the role.

Key responsibilities

  • Educating and upskilling Customer Development Business Partners on P&L impact of balance sheet activities and reflecting this in their monthly performance calls
  • Ensuring balance sheet accruals for each account accurately reflect customer liabilities
  • Actively managing risk around the level of gross & aged deductions.
  • Business Partner Customer Development to enable efficient resolution of transactional & balance sheet related issues.
  • Working with Customer Development teams to re-claim invalid deductions from the customer.
  • Working with Order to Cash team to minimize price claims and improve customer invoice accuracy.
  • Partnering Customer Development teams and external stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities to further drive 'right first time' mentality across Order to Cash.
  • Identifying areas where Customer Development can lead for improvements in Working Capital with their customers (e.g. payment days).


Skills Profile

  • Studying towards professional accounting qualification, Degree level or working experience
  • Excellent engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to own & drive the agenda for the business (pro-active & independent worker)
  • Strong analytical skills
