Manpower are pleased to be recruiting for and Heath and Safety Technician on behalf of our client located in Luton. The role is Permanent and based within the Aerospace Sector.

ROLE:

Health and Saftey Technician

£17,800 per annum, plus benefits

Hours of work: 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday

Immediate Start

JOB PURPOSE:

To carry out the refurbishment of Aviation First Aid/Medical Kits.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Checking and replenishing component parts for First Aid Kits when found to be used / missing /out of date.
  • Making new kits for Aircraft
  • Replacing Broken Kits
  • Ensuring correct uses of stock
  • Ensuring expiry dates / batch numbers used are correct
  • Enabling corrective action in time
  • Ensuring high standards of performance and avoiding mistakes
  • Sealing Kits
  • Sealing medicines before use.
  • Printing paracetamol forms.
  • Checking and replenishing component parts for Aircraft Medical kits
  • Refurbishing Medical kits
  • Processing new orders
  • Transferring stock using the Quantum computer system
  • Making packs (eg Syringe packs)
  • Packing medicines for the Qualified Person to sign off.
  • Checking colleagues work
  • Drug recall (as required)
  • To represent and positively promote the organisation at all levels
  • Participate in training and personal development activities as required
  • To comply with all Company policies and procedures and support Company initiatives
  • To undertake any other reasonable tasks as may be required by the line manager or Directors
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English (desired)
