TRADE FINANCE ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT - LONDON - £150 per day - 3-6 Months (TBC)

The work location is in LONDON and is a 3-6 month contract.

Pay rate is £150 per day.

The role is working for a global insurance company with operations in more than 80 countries and jurisdictions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, enthusiastic and hardworking admin/finance candidate with interest in Finance to make a career within this company.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Provides general administrative support to the Trade Finance Associate and the Centre of Excellence
  • Books meeting rooms and takes care of associated tasks such as greeting visitors, organising video and audio conferencing, arranging refreshments etc.
  • Amends and prepares documents showing great attention to detail
  • Keeps team filing system up to date and assists with archiving
  • Undertakes general administration for expenses
  • Manages stationery and replenishes stock when necessary
  • Scanning, copying and printing of often large documents
  • Supports the team on IT related queries and issues
  • Provides support as and when required during periods of absence or when peer workload pressures dictate
  • New deal organisation and deal team management for trade finance new deals and renewals
  • Management, organisation and collation of monthly performance data (Balanced Scorecard, Forecasts) from team
  • Collation, validation and analysis of trade finance management information to support internal reporting and briefing processes
  • Prepare succinct summaries and high-level data for onwards distribution to senior management and investors
  • Manage certain deal platforms (EPIC Clyde and Aronova) to pull important data and reconcile to ensure accurate reporting
  • Support generation of presentation material/ handouts and other reports for internal and external meetings
  • Support management of deal execution and signings of legal documentation
  • Provide general operations, new product, transaction and marketing support for all trade initiatives including project management
  • Manage document sharing and storage in logical manner
  • Create and maintain good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (Finance, HR, Claims, New Product, Legal, Compliance etc.)
  • Coordinate meetings, training sessions, trade finance conference engagements and other interactions including pre-meeting preparation, agendas, collaterals, taking minutes, manage and chase pre and post actions to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assistance with compliance of underwriting and audit procedures for supply chain finance and other trade products
  • Executive support to Marilyn Blattner-Hoyle
  • Basic diary, travel and expenses management including legal billing system management
  • Opportunity to provide underwriting support

Ideal Candidate

  • Pro-active and can-do attitude
  • A team player who is willing to engage help with other administrative duties and support within the trade finance business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including excellent level of Excel/PowerPoint
  • A high level of attention to detail is a must
  • Must have excellent written and numeracy skills
  • Confidentiality and integrity is paramount
  • Languages helpful
  • Knowledge/ interest in trade finance
