Job Title: Storeperson

Reporting To: Head of Site Maintenance

Salary £25,000

Manpower is looking for an experienced Storeperson to join one of our most valued clients, a multinational speciality chemicals manufacturer. To be based at their state-of-the-art facility site in Wakefield, your role would be to ensure all necessary stock levels, critical spares, parts and consumables are maintained for the site. You would also need to be able to demonstrate that you can assist with actions for continuous improvement.

As a Storeperson, you will be reporting to the Head of Site Maintenance and be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for receiving, packing and/or unpacking of goods, including raw materials, liquids, spare parts, consumables, equipment and tools
  • Communicate effectively to ensure specific items have arrived on time
  • Efficient preparation of spare parts for collection by site personnel
  • Regular stock taking and recording of parts to maintain the internal CMMS system
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Produce tags and labels for plant and equipment as required
  • Work closely with the Engineering Administrator to collect manuals, data sheets and photographs of inventory items for recording on the CMMS system
  • Manage the movement of stock using the company fork lift truck adhering to company health and safety policies
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental regulations, legislation and Company requirements without exception.
  • Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping

Skills & Experienced Required

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to work well within a team
  • Flexible with the ability to learn new processes
