To be the first point of contact for all telephone calls and personal visitors to the home, ensuring that all customers both internal and external are treated in a professional manner with respect and dignity. To offer a high level of administrative support to the Home Manager and Care Team to ensure the smooth running of the Home


Principal Accountabilities and Activities

    • To be responsible for answering telephone calls, dealing with all initial enquiries, providing advice and support, referring to Heads of Department where appropriate, passing on messages efficiently and on a timely basis.
    • Promoting the Home by meeting and greeting all visitors, internal and external, in a professional dignified manner.
    • Assist with recruitment including arranging interviews, offer letters, referencing and managing ID and uniform
    • Ensures all staff induction is coordinated
    • Collation of invoices on behalf of the Home on a daily basis converting these too batches and forwarding them to the accounts department.
    • Forwarding all statements and credits to the accounts department as to agreed timetable.
    • Accurate copy typing and minute taking as and when required by Home Manager, turnaround within 24 hours, ensuring that any spelling and grammatical errors have been amended.
    • Filing to be kept up to date on a weekly basis.
    • Duty to whistle blow if witness bad practice or harm to a resident within the home.
    • Any other clerical and typing support as required by Home Manager and Administrator.

Qualifications. Training and Experience

    • Strong communication skills with excellent telephone manner remaining courteous at all times. Professional, neat appearance.
    • Ability to manage own time, prioritising and organising work appropriately.
    • Working to tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Organisation skills.
    • Ability to work on own initiative unsupervised.
    • PC Literate. Word, Excel
    • Literacy & Numeracy skills
