ASAP Start

£52,000 - £60,000 pro rata

10-11 Months Maternity Cover

Our client the leading global paints company, home to world class products including a 'Super Brand', who operate in a number of important market segments ranging from buildings and infrastructure to transport, industrial and consumer goods.

A key role within the the Trade Brand team, this individual has responsibility for creating and executing best practice ATL and BTL communications within our market. This individual is part of a small, highly functioning team and works very closely with their team as well our Superbrand Academy, Digital Demand and brand teams to deliver effective, integrated communications campaigns, targeted at the highly skilled professional decorator.

Priority Objectives

  • Deliver the business plan (Vol, GIV, EBIT and specific brand health and share targets)
  • Drive a clear strategic direction for Trade communications with Senior Marketing Manager, specifically for the Academy, our trade loyalty scheme, Select Decorators and other key communications activities for Trade
  • Responsible for managing comms implementation from developing the creative idea through to in-market delivery and measurement of campaign success
  • Prioritise and drive the key initiatives to ensure brilliant execution across the business, ensuring appropriate internal communications

Responsibilities:

  • Build a compelling communications plan and execute across both physical and digital worlds as
  • one customer journey for the Academy, loyalty and core communications activations
  • Work with key agencies to brief and execute the communications requirements for the brand.
  • Lead development & ongoing management of content (including aesthetic/colour/design content) that is relevant and compelling for our trade customers
  • Employing relevant technology (social media, targeted marketing, video on demand etc) to engage our customers as we optimise our one customer journey on and offline
  • Act as content editor to ensure consistency of messaging and look and feel
  • Demonstrate a passion for understanding and engaging professional decorator customers
  • Management of PR and media buying/delivery for Academy and core brand activations
  • Responsible for allocating flexible workload and resource management own workload

Education & Experience

  • Ideally educated to BA/BSc degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of marketing in high performing businesses managing multiple categories and/or brands
  • (ideally within FMCG, Retail or DIY industries)
  • SBM/BM level experience with good knowledge across consumer and professional markets
  • Ideally cross functional/market experience (Customer Marketing, Sales, Innovation, Insight, Global)
  • Experience of working within a matrix organisation structure and influencing Global stakeholders

Marketing Competencies

  • Brand planning and marketing programme execution
  • Basic knowledge of P&L management
  • Proven ability to influence across the marketing function (and ideally across the organisation)
  • Experience in development and implementation of brand/communications plan
  • Good creative judgement and experience in developing work across multiple channels
  • Experience of working with agencies to deliver great work
  • Champion of consumer/customer insight as the foundation to marketing activities

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate creativity and effectiveness in development and execution of marketing programmes
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
