SENIOR WAREHOUSE OPERATOR (FLT)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a world leading global FMCG organisation; we are looking for experienced Warehouse personnel to support our clients manufacturing business in Seacroft, Leeds. You will be supporting the production of some of the worlds most recognised personal care products ensuring the smooth intake and distribution of materials and finished products.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Move pallets with counter balance and ride-on trucks between trailers, warehouse floor and warehouse conveyors
  • Receiving and receipting (on SAP) incoming pallets/deliveries
  • Support production lines in the delivery of materials to line
  • Management of the Warehouse IT system on-shift
  • Make operational warehouse decisions on all the above to support the safe and continued operation of the factory
  • Carry out routine and development maintenance
  • Intermediate electrical/controls tasks within the Sourcing Unit (e.g. Lock Out/Tag Out, Isolation Procedures, Fault Location on a Warehouse Control Systems).
  • The successful applicant will also have some responsibility for the following areas:
    • Safety, Environment, Quality, Leadership, World-Class Manufacturing Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, Production Output and Administration.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential:

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence with minimum 2 years regular experience.
  • SAP Goods-Receipting (or similar) experience
  • A strong safety mind-set
  • Good IT skills
  • Willingness to work in a flexible manner
  • Strong teamwork
  • Decision-making ability
  • Communication skills

Desirable:

  • Qualifications: 5 GCSE's including Maths and English.
  • Previous experience in Warehousing and/or Logistics and/or Factory Operations, and practice of working to specified safety and quality standards, would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience of automated machinery/warehouses

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Excellent Rates of Pay: £11.48-12.58 per hour depending on experience

Successful candidates will be receive payment for 24 hours every week - Working hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday, and Friday 7am to 3pm.

Additional hours may also be available working weekday or weekends 12hr shifts 6.45am-6.45pm / 6.45pm-6.45am.
