Architectural Technologist

Manpower are currently working with an award winning consultancy based in Newark are looking to appoint an Architectural Technologist on full time, permanent basis.

The Architectural Technologist will be working as an integral part of the retail team delivering refurbishment / extension and fit out projects across the UK. You will be working predominantly for a major national retailer that is expanding both their property and retail assets throughout the UK. Their retail units vary in size from 10,000ft.2 to 180,000ft2 and typically involve a variety of brands, concessions and functions, which makes for a great deal of variety in terms of each project.

If successfully appointed you will work alongside the key client contact and take a key role in managing the design process and delivering the projects on site. All projects are delivered in Revit, so working experience of the software is essential. You may also assist with other residential and commercial development projects and periodic travel to project sites around the UK.

Who they're looking for:

• Contract Administration/job running experience is essential and is the key part of the role and will require up to a minimum 5 years experience
• Preferably someone who has some experience in retail development but this is not absolutely essential.
• Definite requirement for experience in Revit (min. 3 years practical experience) and preferably Autocad in addition.
• Experience of working in and leading the technical aspects of a project team.
• Strong communication skills including project reporting.
• A sound experience of technical building design and Building Regulations both in terms of new build and refurbishment / fit out.
• Ability to work on a number of projects at any one time and manage their time and the team's time accordingly.

• Salary offered in the region of £30k - £35k depending on experience.
