An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our global FMCG client, the powerhouse behind brands such as Tresemme, Sunsilk, Dove, and TIGI, have an opening for a Marketing Digitisation Lead based at their UK HQ in Leatherhead, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to start ASAP for a period of 9 months (31st Dec 2019) with possibility of extension, working a 37.5-hour week. This role is paying up to £67,000 per annum pro rota, depending on experience.

The Role:

The Marketing Digitisation Lead role is a critical part of the overall digital transformation. The technological opportunities to help us simplify, speed up and make our organisation data centric have never been greater. However, with current systems and working practices too much of our time is spent manipulating data rather than quality time interrogating it, gleaning insights and putting those insights to good use. This role will work alongside both the local UKI Country Category Business Teams and the various global implementation groups, with the support of the Marketing Transformation Director to land the technology-based solutions, the structural and the behavioural shifts required to get our teams focused less on running the business and more on growing through data.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plays leading role in the digital transformation by managing the implementation of numerous technology solutions to the country category business teams
  • Proactively partners with teams to educate/inspire them on the practicalities and potential of the use of the new technologies
  • Represents the market into global development teams, ensuring that our needs are delivered OTIF.
  • Manages the cost implications of technology solutions, in line with defined budgetary parameters.
  • Co-Ordinates the training schedule for teams to on board the technology.
  • Partners both HR Lead and Mkt Transformation Director on implementation of required structural changes to gain the best out of the new platforms
  • Work with Marketing teams to define process flows and identify opportunities for automation through RPA tech.
  • Set the overall framework for the UKI Digitisation work stream, with a holistic overview of the multiple, varied workstreams, setting the agenda that is relevant for the UKI.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor to key business stakeholders on digitisation - working closely with all relevant functions both locally, regionally and globally.
  • Embed best practice and champion data standards into the business and be an advocate for improving data governance and quality
  • Be a conduit for local teams to access global expertise in all areas of digitisation.
  • As part of sprint market, be ready to share learnings and experiences with other operating companies.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Primary Traits

  • Ambassador of data driven businesses
  • An excellent communicator with senior stakeholders, brands, peers and reports
  • An empathic understanding of teams and change.
  • An ability to quickly grasp complex interconnectivities and Data Management Platforms
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand and articulate customer needs in business and more technical vocabulary
  • Experience or understanding of data driven paid media e.g. programmatic
  • Experience managing relationships within a large, multinational, matrix organization

Secondary Traits

  • Experienced project manager, particularly in terms of project planning, forecasting demand and managing human resource accordingly
  • Experience coordinating the introduction of a new internal capability at a major organisation
  • Passion for the social and digital world and its implications for business
