An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a Deskside Support Engineer III in London. This is a full-time, temporary role running for 6 months with potential to extend, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, working between the core hours of 0900-1700. The role is paying £20.41 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd contractor).

Our client's engineers provide on-site multi-vendor services countrywide for a large range of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products. They deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, continuous flexibility and a long tradition in the deployment of high-class IT services


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hardware break/fix
  • Desk side support
  • Processing joiners/movers/leavers
  • Hands and eyes for hosting and network
  • Mobile device break/fix and support
  • Asset and stock management / Hardware inventory tracking (AMI)
  • Staging and updating laptops / desktops / tablets
  • Support on workplace applications
  • Transfer knowledge between internal / external colleagues and documentation
  • Raise suggestions and possibly execute improvements for workplace processes

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • PC/Desktop Support knowledge including Windows XP, Windows 7, 8.1 & 10 & Windows Office Suites and core application suites.
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE/MCSA/MCP's) desirable.
  • Knowledge of SCCM desirable
  • Accepts and handles responsibility.
  • Cooperates with supervisors.
  • Willing to learn new skills and work through accreditation.
  • Works with minimum supervision.
  • Solves personal and professional problems.
  • Excellent Communication and People skills.
  • Friendly phone manner.
