Manpower are currently recruiting for a Materials Handler for their client based in Nottingham


Job Function - REQUIREMENTS - SUCCESS FACTORS (Why job exists, what areas it impacts on, requirements to do the job, and Success Factors)

Reads and interprets production orders and pick tickets. Exactly follows material handling processes and procedures to coordinate, store, assemble, receive, label and ship individual components, kitted together for final distribution to various locations. Reads and follows special instructions. Operates forklift, motorized pallet jack and electric delivery carts. Follows housekeeping standards set. Communicates effectively and completely with team members and other employees as necessary. Follows all prescribed operating and equipment handling procedures with or without reasonable accommodation. Participates in 5S activities. Complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times. Performs other tasks as assigned.


Requires:

Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English. At least one year of directly applicable experience preferred. Must be able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must be able to read production orders and pack tickets. Must be able to read and apply both Standard and Metric weights and measurements. Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools, drum dollies, and powered forklifts with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license. Should possess basic computer skills (QIA, excel, word, power point). Must be able to use and/or wear all required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to work any shift, be available for customer callouts. Must be able to work overtime, as necessary. Must live within a commutable distance to SPS, Nottingham

  • Follow pick ticket requirements to assemble kits
  • Pre-picks material for packaging requirements
  • Material Labeling
  • Participate in 5S program
  • Prepare small packages for shipment
  • Receiving
