Job Title: Trainee Stores Manager

Reporting To: Stores Manager

Salary: DOE

Manpower is looking for an experienced Storesperson looking for the next step in their career to join one of our most valued clients, a speciality engineering company. To be based at their state-of-the-art facility site in Huddersfield, your role would be working in a busy warehouse providing support to various functions across the site.

The company are investing heavily to meet industry demand are a leading provider of energy efficient electric motors. With over a century's technical & design expertise they deliver consistently, producing reliable electric motors to a global market. As a Trainee Stores Manager, you will be reporting to the Stores Manager and be responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining and supporting the entire electrical/ engineering spare parts and consumable stores
  • Liaising with customers on specific requests and technical support
  • Develop opportunities with prospective and existing accounts including chasing lapsed business.
  • Raising orders in line with the electrical/engineering function
  • Ensuring minimum stock levels are always constant
  • Speaking to suppliers from oversea e.g. China and Europe to ensure stock is always available and at the best price
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records on the business system
  • Provide back-up and administrative assistance to other departments
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by your Manager

Skills & Experienced Required

  • Experience in a stores person role
  • A background within the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent word and excel skills
  • A good understanding of electrical and mechanical parts
  • Flexible with the ability to learn new processes
  • Ability to manage your own workload to ensure you meet timescales
  • Healthy and Safety conscious

Pay and Benefits
