Manpower are pleased to be recruiting for Manufacturing Technician on behalf of our busy client based in Church Stretton. This is a temporary position starting immediately!

This is for an initial 6 month period with the potential to be extended.

Location: Church Stretton, Shropshire

Working hours: 37.5 per week

Hourly Rate: £8.72 - £10.26

About The Role:

You will be working with the Materials Production team to provide technical and logistic support to the site. The role will primarily focus on material handling, providing manufacturing support across site and the timely processing of all orders and shipments to ensure finished goods are dispatched on time and to the highest quality as expected by customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work in a manner compliant to H&S guidelines insuring personal and colleague safety
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to complete orders in a timely fashion
  • Control of Goods In/Out and managing inventory across site
  • Provide flexible support to other manufacturing teams through stock replenishment of critical chemicals and consumables
  • Liaison with Planning department to ensure customer shipments are processed and dispatched according to priority
  • Carry out regular cleaning, inspection and basic maintenance tasks
  • Accurate record keeping of all process tasks and material movement transactions.
  • Analytical testing and control of products
  • Support and participate in ongoing development and Continuous Improvement projects across site

Requirements:

  • Ability to accurately follow work instructions, record work information and carry out tasks in a diligent manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Good personal timekeeping
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team

Additional experience (desirable):

  • SAP manufacturing systems
  • Six Sigma or LEAN manufacturing techniques
