The client operation is a UK based national business of staff distributed across various multifunctional centres around England and Scotland.

The business provides an essential service to Corporate & Retail customers and branches. Our centres process very high volumes of work against timely intraday targets and deadlines. Control of risk has the highest profile in the business as has compliance with very prestigious English and Scottish scheme regulatory directives.

The client organisation is a complex, logistical operation handling multiple inputs via multiple product service/product propositions and it is undergoing significant strategic and operational change. The business has extended end-to-end distribution chains (e.g. extensive dedicated use of carriers with time-critical processing links) with high financial, regulatory and staff risks associated with the work. The nature of the business means the operations work to immediate deadlines. Demand forecasting and profiling, capacity planning, resource scheduling, stock management, staff and machine productivity, customer service monitoring and reconciliation and balancing are all key areas of performance.

  • The key purpose of the Centre Operator role is to:
  • Undertake a variety of processing work in accordance with customer SLA's and in line with internal KPI's
  • Collaborate with others in the team and centre to improve performance
  • On occasions to champion a particular improvement initiative on behalf of the team or centre

  • Role Deliverables:

  • Receive work from carriers with appropriate paperwork
  • Check identification of carrier personnel if undertaking receipt & delivery roles
  • Barcode & open work in line with centre operating procedures
  • Distribute work to relevant parts of the operation (where appropriate)
  • Open work and prepare customer credits - enter appropriate details into the processing platform
  • Process notes through the High Speed Note Processors
  • Account for rejected items and reconcile to credit
  • Check for any discrepancies or differences
  • Prepare and pack outgoing work for customers
  • Support management of stock in any designated areas
  • Undertake balancing of the individual work and/or the overall balance
  • Participate in activities relating to continuous improvement such as root cause problem solving
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and safe systems of work
  • Adherence to business AYIC procedures
  • Adherence to all centre Health & Safety standards & requirements
  • Responsible for self development and support of skills matrix

Experience:

  • Full training will be provided
  • Action plans & regular reviews will be completed to support business & personal development goals

Experience of working in a processing environment useful but not essential

Shift times 7am till 2.20, 12pm to 7.20, 2.20 to 9.40, Night Shift 9.40pm to 7am - 4 nights Mon to Thursday
