Production Planner required to join a leading supplier of fresh foods. The role is a key support role to the Packing Centre's production management team. You will be required to work on a continental day shift pattern.
Role Responsibilities
As part of this role the candidate will be required to:
- Collate and report the day's orders (entering
- stock & sales)
- Report Packing Centre information to central operations
- Ensure the production team has the information they require to plan production
- Ensure ungraded is in place to achieve sales and model intakes/usages going forward
- Control promotional planning within the packing centre
- Coordinate inter-packing centre packing/transfers to achieve business objectives
- Focus on the key performance indicators (KPIs) identified by the Production Shift Manager, and work towards achieving and surpassing agreed targets
- Assist Machine Controllers in planning production runs to minimise waste, maximise product life, meet customer dispatch times, and achieve the best possible throughout (taking into account any relevant production constraints
- Be mindful of product quality, integrity and traceability. Ensure work is completed to a high-standard, and all necessary documentation is complete
- Ensure production reporting and admin -- as identified by the Production Shift Manager -- is complete, up-to-date, and accurate
- Identify areas of inefficiency and waste. In agreement with the Production Shift Manager, implement and review the agreed change
- To be "audit-ready" at all times, ensure that site hygiene, health & safety and document control are in line with customer specifications and always up to date
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Experience within a similar environment
- Professional, friendly and welcoming approach
- Good understanding of English both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision
This is a full time and permanent role with a salary of between £21,000- £23,000 dependant on experience, you will also receive the following benefits:
