Business Development Manager - Covering Manchester to Newcastle Areas.

salary is £33,000 per year

The role is field based and will cover the Birmingham to Newcastle areas with excellent company benefits. . The working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on Fridays with a 1-hr unpaid lunch break.

Manpower has teamed up with an outstanding company who specialise in construction equipment to recruit for an experienced Business Development Manager. The role will be field based and will cover 8 branches across Manchester and Newcastle areas. This role includes working in a challenging and competitive environment, primarily the role is to provide contact between the business and the customer base, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager.

Duties include:

  • Building new and maintaining past client relationships,pro-actively manage specific accounts with a view to securing new business.
  • Developing, maximising and maintaining sales of all products within the region by face to face selling to the customer base.
  • Achieving annual targets and managing the costs within the perimeters agreed.
  • Processing sales-related paperwork, preparing quotations, bills of quantities and offering technical product information.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of product range, identifying and acting on opportunities to sell.
  • Using companies softwares to identify opportunities, maximizing efficiency when travelling with an effective call plan.

The suitable candidate will have:

  • Field sales experience
  • Experience in multi discipline calls; demand generation and order fulfilment.
  • Excellent Customer service skills to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Strong competency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good time management skills; Be reliable and Flexible
  • Attention to detail and good cooperation and team working skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, focused and persistent;
  • Be goal and detail oriented
