Business Development Manager - Covering Manchester to Newcastle Areas.

salary is £33,000 per year

The role is field based and will cover the Manchester to Newcastle areas with excellent company benefits. . The working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on Fridays with a 1-hr unpaid lunch break.

Manpower has teamed up with an outstanding company to recruit for an experienced Business Development Manager. The role will be field based and will cover 8 branches across Manchester and Newcastle areas. This role includes working in a challenging and competitive environment, primarily the role is to provide contact between the business and the customer base, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager.

Duties include:

  • Building new and maintaining past client relationships,pro-actively manage specific accounts with a view to securing new business.
  • Developing, maximising and maintaining sales of all products within the region by face to face selling to the customer base.
  • Achieving annual targets and managing the costs within the perimeters agreed.
  • Processing sales-related paperwork, preparing quotations, bills of quantities and offering technical product information.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of product range, identifying and acting on opportunities to sell.
  • Using companies softwares to identify opportunities, maximizing efficiency when travelling with an effective call plan.

The suitable candidate will have:

  • Field sales experience
  • Experience in multi discipline calls; demand generation and order fulfilment.
  • Excellent Customer service skills to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Strong competency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good time management skills; Be reliable and Flexible
  • Attention to detail and good cooperation and team working skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, focused and persistent;
  • Be goal and detail oriented
