Class 2 HGV Drivers in Ford

At Manpower we currently have vacancies for Class 2 (Category C) HGV drivers to join our team to support our busy client based in Ford, West Sussex. Initially offered as temporary, there is the opportunity for ongoing work with this client for the right candidate.

Our client is based in the distribution industry and deal with palletised goods. You will start at 08:00 each day and work until finish, with shift lengths varying from day to day. The role involves completing anything up to 17 deliveries per day in a Class 2 HGV across the South Coast, using a pump truck and tail lift to unload the vehicle at each location. Due to the nature of the industry and the goods the clients deliver, some of the deliveries will be heavy and candidates should expect heavy manual work to be part of their day to day role.

Although classed as temporary, we have had a number of drivers gain permanent roles through the opportunities we were able to provide them with, and we will work with you throughout your assignments to ensure you have the support required to further your career.

The ideal candidate should hold a valid Category C (Class 2) HGV UK driving licence, along with a valid Tacho Card and Drivers CPC card. As our clients are from a variety of industries, experience working as a commercial driver is advantageous.
