Diesel Fitter/ Mechanic - Belfast

Our client operates across a number of fields within the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors.

We are recruiting for a Diesel Fitter to join their fleet maintenance team who will carry out repairs, maintenance and inspections on a variety of fleet vehicles, Trucks and mobile Plant equipment.

The successful candidate will need experience working on heavy plant machinery or HGV Trucks as a Diesel Fitter, preferably with experience across a variety of vehicles and plant machinery.

The Role:

Carry out repair and maintenance work on a variety of plant machinery and commercial vehicles

Carry out routine inspections and servicing of vehicles

Accurately record job information and maintenance undertaken in line with company standards

Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and any other repairs on vehicles and plant.

Work with health and safety in mind and abide by company health and safety policies

What we are looking for:

Relevant qualification in Plant or HGV Repair

Mechanical knowledge and experience working on plant machinery or HGV Trucks

Skilled in fault finding with experience in electric and hydraulic repairs

Preferably some experience with fabrication and welding

Experience with quarry plant equipment is highly beneficial

Positive and practical approach to workload
