Job Title: Customer Services Advisor

Job Type: Ongoing temp work with the chance of being taken on permanently if successful

Location: Luton

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 Friday: 08:30 - 16:30

Salary: £8.83 per hour / £17,000 per annum if taken on permanently

Daily duties:

  • Answer all calls from customers and suppliers in a professional manner daily
  • Deal with orders places including checking deliveries, order status and progression to ensure customers and managers are up to date with all information
  • Deal with customer complaints
  • Handle quotation requests that have been received via phone, email or fax
  • Ensure all phone orders are then followed up in writing to ensure that all information is correct
  • Ensure discounts are assigned to specific customers
  • Assign orders to the team members where appropriate
  • Place order onto the system and make sure that all the information is correct
  • Notify any customers of any issues with their order such as pricing or quantity problems
  • Keep customers up to date with their delivery status via email or fax
  • Ensure that all duties are completed by the end of the day, such as confirming orders with customers
  • Processing invoices and sending them over to company P.A
  • Generate excel reports which outlines any outstanding parts to ensure customers are notified
  • Ensure all emails that are sent to any customers and suppliers are cc'd to the Area Sales Managers
  • Identify any changes in proposed delivery dates for major customers
  • Deal with different departments to make sure that orders and managed effectively
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager if you believe that there are any concerns with orders
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge

About the candidate:

  • Candidate must have a can-do attitude
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills are essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Previous customer service is necessary
  • Experience working as a team
