Marine Electrician - Plymouth - Immediate Start
Manpower is pleased to be working with our client to find a Marine Electrician for an ongoing contract. In the role of Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for looking after the electrical systems on the companies ferries and onshore buildings. This role is open to anyone who has electro-mechanical experience.
About the role
The role of Marine Electrician is varied, from day to day you will be working on a range of planned and unplanned repairs. This will include maintenance of the main switchboard components including breakers, meters and associated switchgear along with general testing and diagnostics on all electronic equipment. You will also be working on internal lighting circuits and external navigation lights including switches, distribution boxes and light fittings. As well as working on company buildings and radio systems.
About the candidate
To be successful in the role of Marine Electrician you will have a minimum of C&G Level 3 or equivalent Armed Forces experience along with previous experience working in any electrical / mechanical environment. You will also have a through working knowledge of electrical workshop machinery, planned and corrective maintenance procedures and the ability to interpret electrical drawings.
