Caretaker/Cleaner

Manpower are recruiting for a Cleaner/Caretakers on behalf of our client based in Porthcawl.

Main duties:

• Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of all areas, to include kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and bedrooms.
• Use of electrical and manual equipment
• Completion of relevant paperwork related to stock and supplies, unpacking of deliveries and storing the supplies within the relevant areas
• To make the nursing staff aware of any dissatisfaction or aspects of concern from patients in respect of the service.
• To report any damaged equipment and / or maintenance issues
• To undertake any ad hoc duties as and when required

Knowledge and experience:

• Previous cleaning experience
• Awareness of COSHH, Health and Safety, infection control and Management of Waste Regulations
• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• Understanding the importance of confidentiality
• Physically fit as the role includes manual handling

The vacancies are temporary but ongoing. The working hours are 5.00 pm - 9.00 pm (15 hours a week) The hourly rate is £8.21 per hour for the first 12 weeks and £9.05 thereafter.
