Job Details
Our client, a leading energy company based in Barnwood, Gloucester is looking for a Training Data Analyst to join their Central Technical Organisation (CTO) Training Team, providing administrative and analytical support to the key Central Training Programmes through maintaining and reporting for training roles and records in SAP.
Please note successful canidates will be on a long term temporary contract
Nature and Scope
- Training data analysis and reporting
- Training SAP role build and reporting
- Training administration support
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing changes to the architecture of training roles within SAP
- Create, update and end date roles in SAP
- Highlight and investigate any potential SAP architecture issues or errors
- Support regular out-of-hours SAP outages including preparation activities
Production of monthly/quarterly reports
- Run standard monthly/quarterly reports
- Develop and run training role compliance reports
- Run ad hoc SAP reports as required
Provision of support and guidance to line SAP Co-ordinators
- Support and act as a mentor for new SAP Co-ordinators
- Provide ongoing mentoring/coaching for existing SAP Co-ordinators
- Provide ad hoc support as required
Lead the SAP Co-ordinators working group
- Produce & circulate the agenda for the meeting
- Organise and actively participate in SAP Co-ordinator meetings
Responsible for maintaining trackers & providing SAP reports
- Ensure electronic records are correctly maintained
- Maintain the training Change Register
- Process training exemptions and qualification extensions
Generic Support
- Provide SAP support to CTO Training team as and when required
- Investigate SAP or compliance related issues
- Maintain SAP user guides for Data Analyst and SAP Co-ordinator
- Enrol staff onto training courses when required
- Waitlist staff onto training courses
- Cancel training course participation as required
Skills, Qualifications, Experience
Essential key skills
- Experience of Microsoft Office, in particular strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Experience in data reporting
- Experience in analysis of data
Desirable skills
- Experience of SAP (local training will be provided)

- Organised - Must be self-motivated with a keen eye for detail
- Proactive - Must demonstrate ownership of issues and workload
- Communication - Must have strong communication skills
