Planner (Manufacturing)

A Planner vacancy within the Supply Chain of a manufacturer of bespoke machinery with a worldwide client base. Adhering to tight deadlines with in a matrix of multiple teams (Engineering, Sales, Procurement and Production), the role requires the interpretation of BOM's and engineering drawings. The person selected will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often working to tight deadlines while meeting the expectations of multiple customers.

The Responsibilities:

  • Project and spare parts planning
  • Stock planning and optimisation
  • Production (assembly & machine shop) planning
  • Planning of production routings and time allocation to the different manufacturing steps
  • Leading and participating of new project implementation activities in production area
  • Coordination with other departments on improvement projects
  • Understanding of business processes for capital equipment manufacturers
  • Scheduling of in-house produced components and utilisation of machine shop
  • Advanced Excel skills to facilitate data analysis on OTD, costings etc.
  • Accurate planning of resources to meet project plans
  • Accurate planning of component demand

    • The Requirements:

  • 5+ Years Experience
  • Engineering or manufacturing degree or extensive knowledge if production processes
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and processes
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience in manufacturing planning and Scheduling of in-house produced components

    • Bristol Based - BS14
    • £30,000-£34,000+ DOE
