CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator)

Due to continued growth, we are currently searching for an experienced CNC Turner to work within a multi-disciplined team in the exciting precision engineering industry based in Bristol. Our pioneering, world renowned products are used all over the world in critical avionics systems and require exceptional build quality adhering to ISO9001 standards.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a variety of turning centres and lathes in the build of all aerospace products. Sequencing of operations, tooling, programming either Hurco (Winmax/Ultimax) (conversational or G Block codes programming) and setup requirements to manufacture ground support components. Continuously monitor product quality during build to improve production performance targets. Work in co-operation with other manufacturing teams to ensure the product is of the quality and standards expected

The Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience within precision engineering.
  • Extensive understanding of either Hurco/Winmax/Ultimax (G+M Code) or OneCNC.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process sheets.
  • Conversant with both Metric and Imperial measuring systems.
  • Experience with a range of inspection equipment including: verniers, micrometers, CMM.
  • Experience with manual machining, milling and grinding would be desirable

  • Bristol (Yate) Based
  • £13.00 - £14.00 P/H - £27,040 - £29,120 (Base Salary)
  • Overtime Available (Paid x 1.5 Base)
  • 30 Days Holiday (22 Days + 8 Public Holidays)
  • Generous Additional Benefits
  • 40 Hours P/W (Mon-Thurs 7:30-4:30, Fri 7:30-12:30)
