Tail Lift Fitter

Our client are a leading provider of transport fleet engineering services in Northern Ireland.

We are recruiting for a Tail Lift Fitter/ Technician who will carry out mobile on site installations of Tail lifts to customer vehicles.

Our client are an official distributor and installer of a leading brand of tail lifts.

This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience of Fitting parts. We are preferably looking for fitting or mechanical experience in the commercial vehicle/ coachbuilding/ trailer industry or a related engineering environment.

Depending on the individual there is the opportunity to become involved in Tail Lift maintenance, inspections and repairs.

The Role:

• Installation and fitting of tail lifts to Vans, Light Commercial Trucks and Trailers
• Ensure equipment is fitted correctly and to the highest possible standard
• Carry out bespoke engineering solutions
• Use tools safely and work in a team effectively
• Provide an excellent service when on site with customers
• Accurately complete job cards and paperwork required
• Tail Lift maintenance, repairs and inspections

What we are looking for:

• Mechanical fitting experience within Commercial Vehicle, HGV Trailer, Coachworks/ Bodybuilding or Engineering
• Mechanical and assembly knowledge of parts
• Full driving license required and flexibility to work mobile on customer sites
• Able to use tools safely and provide a high standard of craftmanship
