We are recruiting for an Growth Development Manager to work for a well-known charity supporting mental health within the workplace.

A strong knowledge of mental health at work, combined with health and safety management, would be a distinct advantage, as would an understanding of the construction or transport industry. This role will demand an entrepreneurial and engaging individual who is passionate to work alongside others to make a positive difference.

You must develop a rapport with new supporters, set targets and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. You are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. As Growth Development Manager you will be expected to work mostly with mid and senior level management, HR, and Health and Safety staff.

Strategic planning is vital as it is the Growth Development Manager's responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business which will require a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services and competitors.

General responsibilities include:

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased Growth.
  • Cold call as appropriate within agreed market or geographic areas to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and team members.
  • Plan approaches, develop pitches and growth development collateral.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Speak positively and enthusiastically about products and services to ensure that a professional organisation and brand image is provided at all times to customers, stakeholders and colleagues.

  • Build and maintain a relationship with supporters.
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with programme development and other colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Management and Research:

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the Salesforce CRM system.
  • Forecast sales targets.
  • Track and record activity on supporters and help to close deals to meet these targets.
  • Work with marketing to measure the impact of promotional marketing or media campaigns.
