Sheet Metal Worker

What the Job Entails
Fine Limit Sheet Metal Workers are required for our client in Farnborough, Hampshire. This is a temp-to-perm position with a well-established engineering company. Our client manufactures one-offs, to multi-batch specifications in fine tolerance sheet metal work using a range of metals including mild steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminium alloys and titanium.

Required Skills/Experience

• Previous fine limit sheet metal work experience
• Able to use all relevant machinery, e.g. CNC and manual brake press, guillotine, hand tools
• Able to read, interpret and work to technical drawings
  • CAD desirable but not essential
• Able to work with all types of sheet metal up to 3mm
• Have a proven track record as a fine limit sheet metal worker/ fabricator
  • Able to finish products to a very high level

The role is 38 hours/week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday. This is a temp-to-perm position, paying between £12.00 - £13.00/hour for the right candidate. Benefits once permanent include four weeks holiday (plus Bank Holidays), and a generous pension contribution.
