Job Title: Internal Sales Administrator

Salary: £8.83 per hour / £17,000 per annum + BONUS if taken on perm

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 Friday: 08:30 - 16:30

Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Luton for an Internal Sales Administrator to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis.

If your assignment is successful, you will be taken on as a permanent member of staff.

Working under the direction of the Sales Office Manager, the Internal Sales Administrator is the first point of contact in the organisation. Responsible for demonstrating the highest levels of customer service whilst maintaining impeccable personal presentation. To ensure that customers are always dealt with in the most professional manner.


General duties:

  • Answer all calls from customers & suppliers daily in a professional manner
  • Deal with all orders placed including checking deliveries, order status and progression to ensure customers and Area Sales Managers are aware of all information
  • Deal with any complaints regarding any late orders, wrong products or picking issues
  • Promptly handling all quotation requests that have been received via phone/email and fax
  • Ensure all orders are followed up to ensure all information is correct and unchallenged by customers
  • Assign orders to relevant team members
  • Placing orders onto the in-house system and ensuring information is always correct
  • Notifying customers of any discrepancies/quantity issues or pricing issues
  • Ensure customers are aware of delivery status via email or fax
  • Filing of orders/supplier delivery notes and despatch notes
  • Ensure all "End of Day" duties are completed; orders confirmed, and invoices sent
  • Generate Excel reports which outlines any outstanding parts to ensure customers are notified
  • Ensure all emails that are sent to any customers and suppliers are cc'd to the Area Sales Managers
  • Manually identify any changes in proposed delivery dates for major customers
  • Liaise with all departments including purchasing/accounts/warehouse & sales to ensure customer orders are managed efficiently
  • Liaise with Operations Manager regarding higher authorisation or major concerns to customer orders
  • Attend any customer meetings if required to ensure all concerns are addressed and relationships are kept strong
  • Complete any training necessary to complete daily duties and to complete any product online training
  • Ensure you are always up to date with all product knowledge
  • Any ad-hoc duties requested by line manager

Experience & qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet
  • Previous Customer Services or Account Management experience
  • Strong experience of dealing with customers on the Telephone or Face to Face
  • Experience of working as part of team
