Our client Based in North Dublin are looking for a purchasing supervisor to join their team.
We have an opportunity within our small Team to bring in a like-minded, high performing individual to work alongside our Sales and Procurement function, reporting directly to the National Supply Chain Manager.
The primary duties of this role will include Purchasing responsibilities as listed below, however we are looking for someone who will be confident to make business decisions when the manager is not in the depot.
The suitable candidate will need to have a sound understanding of both the sales function and the warehouse function and be able to make decisions when these areas need aligning, in the absence of the manager.
Responsibilities will include:
*Raising stock orders with Suppliers.
*Arranging transport for goods-in.
*Updating of expected delivery dates and accurate cost prices from Suppliers.
*Communicate with Sales to manage urgent stock orders.
*Reviewing stock levels and taking necessary actions.
*Supporting with customer queries to assist the Sales team.
*Holiday cover for the customer service duties
Skills & Attributes:
*Strong skill set for attention to detail.
*Confident making decisions using their own initiative.
*Good computer skills including word, excel & internal system training provided).
*Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
*Ability to build strong relationships internally & externally.
*Ability to self-organise & prioritise tasks accordingly.
Reporting To - National Supply Chain Manager
Hours - Mon-Thurs 08.30am - 17:00pm, Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm (39 hours)
Salary - €26,000 - €30,000
Location - Dublin 11, D11 XO04
