Manpower is working with a leading national law firm to recruit a Legal Secretary in their Manchester office.

Candidates must have Legal Secretary experience within an Insolvency, Personal Injury or Litigation department.

The firm has a wide range of clients throughout the UK with many clients having strong international connections. They have over 150 partners and more than 800 members of staff in total.

Their client base reflects our nationwide strength and our nationwide service delivery. They are committed to continuous improvement and our increasing success as a business is built on achieving success for our clients. They work in close partnership with clients, providing positive, practical solutions and clear, comprehensive advice.

Their aim is to attract and retain the most talented people, and part of this is providing a great place to work. So, to support fairness and equality and to encourage a healthy work-life balance, we continually monitor and improve their benefits.

They are proud that what they have achieved has been recognised over the past few years, being awarded Best Companies star status on a number of occasions and have featured in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For. We are also a silver standard accredited Investor in People Company, which means we are recognised for our efforts to improve work place engagement, leadership, personal growth, wellbeing, team working and our impact on society.

You will be expected to provide an effective and efficient secretarial support service to the lawyers in Insolvency in our Manchester office.

You will produce documents and letters as directed by fee earners; will attend to clients by telephone and in person; and will assist fee earners with day to day administrative matters to include: opening new files, closing files and archiving, file organisation, billing procedures, making appointments and arranging meetings.

The successful candidate must be well organised, able to show initiative, capable of working under pressure when necessary, have excellent communication skills, be a real team player and have a flexible and professional approach with a willingness to get involved with the office as a whole. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are highly motivated and have the drive to deliver a quality service to both fee earners and clients.
