Process Operative (FTC -6 months)

My Client is looking for support in their Knowsley Manufacturing Plant for a minimum of 6 months (could lead to longer).

You will need experience of heavy industrial manufacturing & knowledge of manual handling & health & safety, as you could be lifting weights of up to 20kg.

What will your day look like:

• Maintaining stocks and order sundries as required.
• Carrying out and understanding Safety and Housekeeping duties
• Loading and unloading of raw materials including tankers of corrosive chemicals, packaging, engineering equipment and finished goods.
• Preparing and filling the chemicals into customer appropriate packaging using the semi automated machinery and by manual filling certain customer orders.
• ISO 9001 & Quality Control - Attention to detail is vital as they are producing orders for our customers to a high specification

What do you need to succeed in this role:

The role will incorporate a mixture of process operations & packaging, ensuring that there is minimal waste of the raw materials.

• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of safety in a heavy industrial site
• Capacity to work alone & pick up ad hoc duties
• Knowledge of Packaging & dispatch of goods

It would be one week at 5 x 8 hour days and one week at 4 x 10 hour days (Mon - Fri)

Salary offered will be negotiable depending on experience within the manufacturing / chemical industry.
