I am now exclusively recruiting for a Digital Transformation Manager for the AA Ireland. This position will be based at the Head Office in Dublin City Centre within their Marketing & Digital Team.

This position is for an 18 month FTC, with a very competitive salary plus bonus and pension.

The successful candidate will provide project management and subject matter expertise and on a Digital transformation program, where we are aiming to move the AA from a contact centre centric organization to one where the primary interaction medium with our customer is through our digital journeys. This role will involve working across the organization to deliver this vision. The role is an 18 month fixed term contract.

Qualifications and Education Degree educated:
University level qualification in Commerce, Computer Science or Project Management.

Work Experience:
7 to 10 years work experience including leading at least one major transformational project in a digital centric company. Experience of best practice in a medium / large scale digital centric company is essential.

Skills and Knowledge:
Strong commercial skills, ability to quickly prioritise key business objectives and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to specification Deep functional & technical knowledge of what best practice looks like in a digital centric organisation
Ability to liaise with / manage cross functional teams to identify dependencies and resolve issues in an efficient and collaborative way.
Demonstrable experience at actively seeking and driving through solutions in order to overcome project issues.
Exhibit professionalism and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to win commitment from others.
Ability to quickly understand how a business works.
Excellent organisational and presentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Project.
Highly experienced at creation and presentation of reports and Metrics

Key Dimensions and Related Job Results:
Lead on a number of small to large scale complex projects ensuring delivery on time, scope and budget.
Manage cross-functional teams to drive progress, identify and resolve issues to ensure delivery. Interface between the project team, business owner and steering committees to ensure adequate reporting and decision making.
Produce and maintain detailed project plans, reporting and managing progress, costs, risks & issues, escalating within the business as appropriate.
Manage third party vendors where necessary, including management of RFI/RFP process through Vendor selection and Implementation.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation to integrate requirements and ensure achievement of key business objectives.

Key Dimensions and Related Job Results:
Budget management will form part of the role.
This role will own the overall Digital Capex budget, with responsibility for business casing it, forecasting it, tracking it, assigning budget to individual projects and managing each project to budget. Each change will be allocated a budget which will need to be managed by the Transformation Manager. Typically, this in the form of days effort and management is needed to outline the effort required to deliver the change, and then manage the delivery to this effort. Communication of any change to budget is a crucial responsibility.
Depending on the level of change being requested, the number of indirect reports will vary from 1 - 2 people to up to multiple internal teams as well as third party vendors who will be part of the Project Team.

Operating Environment:
Typically, changes are required to be delivered as soon as possible as it will provide an advantage to the company. The Transformation Manager will have to manage communication of the timeline for delivery as well as keeping expectations aligned to get the change delivered in the correct manner and in a planned timeline. The Transformation Manager will have to manage the resources available to deliver the change and manage the priority of their task amongst other changes which will be ongoing at the same time which may need the same people required. Negotiation is a key skill which will be required to get a result which will satisfy everyone involved. There should be minimum travel required. Ad-hoc travel may be required to site of third party vendor as part of project meetings but this would not be standard.
