CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator)

A genuine opportunity for a CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator) to come and join a market leading precision engineering company based in Brockworth, Gloucester. Working and operating in the aerospace, metrology, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food manufacture and defence industry sectors. All work is delivered with stringent quality control to the highest industry codes of practice, both UK and European.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and running of the turning department whilst operating sliding head, bar-feeding and chucking lathes in the build of a diverse range of products. Sequencing of operations, tooling, programming either Fanuc (conversational or G Block codes programming) or offline OneCNC. Continuously monitor product quality through self-inspection using verniers, dial clocks, trimos and bowers measuring equipment.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience within precision engineering.
  • Extensive understanding of either Fanuc 21IT controls (G+M Code) or OneCNC.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process sheets.
  • Conversant with both Metric and Imperial measuring systems.
  • Experience with a range of inspection equipment including: verniers, micrometers, CMM.
  • Experience with manual machining, milling and grinding would be desirable

  • Gloucester Based - GL3
  • £13.00 - £14.00 P/H+ - £27,040 - £29,120 (Base Salary)
  • Overtime Available (Paid x 1.5 Base)
  • 33 Days Holiday (25 Days + 8 Public Holidays)
  • 39 Hours P/W (Mon-Thurs 7:30-4:00, Fri 7:30-3:00)
