Our client is a global FMCG Company with Brands such as Lipton, Ben & Jerry's, Knorr, Persil & Magnum therefore this is an excellent opportunity to join a world leading organisation.

This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, however there is the possibility this could become permanent for the right candidate. Working a 37.5 hour week, this role is paying up to £35,400 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience). Agile working could be considered (working 1 day a week from home) and occasional short, domestic travel to other sites may be required.

Main Purpose of Job:

Unilever's Refreshment Category brings people the best quality Tea & Ice Cream products from many well-known brands including Lipton, Pukka, Walls, Magnum and Ben & Jerry's, made with care for people and the planet, wherever and whenever they desire.

Through our Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP), we are committed to helping 1 billion people to take actions to improve their health and wellbeing. The nutrition function plays a key role in delivering this commitment.

The current job is part of the Global Nutrition Categories team, which is responsible for providing nutrition and health claims and communication guidance to innovation and renovation projects, as well as providing guidance to product development to ensure we meet our nutrition commitments.

We seek a nutrition expert to support the ice cream category. The main purpose of this role is to support the implementation of the nutrition strategy for ice cream in close collaboration with other functions, e.g. marketing, CMI and R&D.

  • Support the business with insight into the nutritional composition of the product portfolio to help determine goals for renovation or innovation.
  • Generate new insights that can be used in delivering superior products and communication thereof, based on understanding of dietary needs and consumer habits and trends, product composition and serving sizes, and competitor analysis.
  • Develop nutrition & health communication materials to support product launches and other brand related communication for health influencers and consumers.
  • Assist the Global Nutrition team in queries on product composition, nutrition data calculations for e.g. scoring on proposed nutrient profiles, and on generic nutrition & health information.
  • Support the development and execution of internal training, e.g. ice cream induction, sugars & sweeteners training.
  • Support activities aimed at strengthening the nutrition capability across Foods & Refreshment.

Key skills
