A Brilliant opportunity has arisen for Inventory Controller to join our client in the Helsby area. This role is temporary until 30th September 2019, you will be working 37.5 hours a week on 9am-5pm shift. Shift pattern will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business when required. Paying £8.87 for first 12 weeks then £9.04 per hour to start ASAP

Job Summary:
Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. May require an associate degree or equivalent and related experience and able to show proven capabilities in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

The successful candidates will form part of a flexible and dynamic team to ensure that the customer is protected and the warehouse work flow uninterrupted.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Releasing work into the warehouse and ensuring PGI @ EOD
2. Working with customer services to meet demand and answer queries.
3. Preparing Warehouse reports for day to day operations.
4. Provide reports (KPI's).
5. Adherence to Company and legislative Health and Safety requirements in all work processes.
6. Engaging and adopting HOS principles (Lean and Six Sigma)
7. Leasing with internal/external sites/customers.
8. Any other reasonable requirements as determined by the Operations Supervisor in accordance with the level of responsibility of the role.

Person Specification:

* Experience in export and customs & excise would be advantageous
* Experience and Competence with SAP
* Qualification in Microsoft Excel, ideally to Advanced level
* Experience of working in an Administrative role is desirable
* Self-motivated, proactive and driven
* Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels using a variety of methods / tools
* To work with colleagues as part of a team to achieve individual and company objectives

Please note that candidates must be prepared to travel to a different location for training and be available around the August Bank Holiday weekend and throughout the transition period.
