Customer Advisor (Evenings)

Our client is a non-profit making Government-owned organisation set up in 1989 to provide loans and grants to students in universities and colleges in the UK. They are responsible for student support delivery in the UK.

Their purpose is to enable their customers to invest in their futures by delivering secure, accurate and efficient assessment, payment and repayment services.

Their vision is to deliver outstanding digital products and services to its customers and stakeholders and will respond effectively, quickly and flexibly to the demands of ministers and policymakers at the Department for Education and the devolved administrations.

Job Purpose:

As a Customer Advisor you will provide a first class processing service to our customers corresponding via email, telephone and written communication.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing Further Education application forms and correspondence
• Deal with incoming and outgoing telephone calls in relation to the EMA and WGLG schemes
• Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to work as part of a team in an ever changing environment
• To meet individual and department targets ensuring all students receive their payments on time.
• At non peak times assist other areas of the business

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Qualification to Standard Grade level in English and Maths
• Experience of working in a busy customer service orientated environment
• Ability to work under own initiative and without supervision
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• A knowledge of Microsoft Office
• In all aspects of work demonstrate a commitment to the clients values and behaviour

Working Hours:

• Full Time
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 16.00 - 00.00
• Temporary Assignment
