Assembly Operative

Location: Nottingham

Hourly Rate: £8 - £9 per hour + overtime

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2PM and 2PM - 10PM (must be able to be flexible and work both shifts)

Start Date: Immediately

Contract: Ongoing

Manpower are currently recruiting for Assembly Operatives for their client based in Colwick, Nottinghamshire. This is initially a temporary role with a view to lead permanent for the right candidate.

Our client is the world's largest manufacturer of high-pressure aluminium and composite gas cylinders, operating facilities in the UK, United States, France, Canada, China and India. They are a well-established company and have been leaders in what they do for well over 100 years.

We are looking for a number of Assembly Operatives who are keen to learn and progress within a company to join their team in Nottingham on an ongoing basis.

To be considered for the role of Assembly Operative, you must have the following skills:

  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Ability to follow instructions from drawings/assembly diagrams
  • Ability to listen to and follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to use hand tools confidently - Ratchets, torque wrench, power drill, impact guns and others
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in small teams
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Health and Safety awareness
