Vehicle Inspector

We are currently seeking a permanent Vehicle Inspector in Hertfordshire, Ideally we are seeking an experienced mechanic that want's to come off the tools and try a new challenge, must hold a driving license and be interested in starting ASAP, please see below for more information;

• Must have been in a mechanics role, vehicle inspector role or similar

Vehicle Inspector

Our client is looking for a qualified Vehicle Inspector to join their small but friendly team on a full time basis. The successful candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday 9.00am till 5pm with an hours lunch break. The role offers a competitive salary along with a monthly target related bonus and a yearly target related bonus.

The right candidate will have a recognised motor industry mechanical (level2/3) qualifications membership of IRTE/IMI or equivalent as well as a sound and up to date mechanical and bodywork knowledge of all aspects of vehicle construction and repair.

The role will be to carry out visual and mechanical vehicle inspections on a daily basis and adhering to the companies strict processes and procedures. You must be able to communicate with the office staff via walkie talkies, emails or telephone and keep them informed should any issues arise with the vehicles. All reports will be carried out using a tablet so the right candidate must have good IT skills and be able to use the internet with ease and by themselves as some reports will need to be emailed to the vehicle coordinator. A full and clean driving license is mandatory as you will be performing road tests on all applicable vehicles.

Full training and company uniform are provided. The successful candidate must be prepared to attend off site training courses which may incur overnight stays depending on location of course. 20 days paid holiday + bank holidays.
