Design Assistant & Photo Editor

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, creative & diligent graduate to join the Graphic Design team of a fast-growing contemporary jewellery brand based in West London. The successful candidate will become part of a friendly, passionate team.

REPORTING TO: Senior Graphic Designer

LOCATION: West London

SALARY: £18-19k

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Graphic Design team with day-to-day design requirements spanning web banner and asset creation for the company website, newsletters, social media channels and online advertising
• Assisting the E-commerce team with imagery requirements
• Rolling out of creative artwork to various formats
• Updating, organising & maintaining the company's image library
• Coordinating & management of all product photography
• Reviewing, editing and formatting all product images
• Assisting on shoots
• Design research, competitor research & moodboarding
• Light retouching and product colour matching where necessary
• Design team administration - updating excel sheets & file naming

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Bridge
• Graduate applications welcome. Bonus - 1 year of previous design/photo editing experience, preferably in-house and with a retail/fashion brand
• A good eye for image quality
• An understanding of best practice for preparing files for web
• An understanding of designing for responsive sites
• An understanding of social media for business - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills
• Ambitious, can-do attitude
• Comfortable working on multiple projects at once and able to prioritise accordingly
• Hungry to learn and produce great results as part of the Graphic Design team
